Can caffeine cure a hang-over?

So first of all - sorry folks, let’s get this out from the way - there is no such thing for as a cure for a hangover. It’s not just a headache, it’s fatigue, thirst, headache, nausea, light and sound sensitivity, and dizziness. Although there is some science into back up the promises of these hangover remedies, with all these selections on the market, it might be difficult to know which of these hangover remedies is the right match for you and which ones can do the least harm.

We took a look into a few of the hangover remedies to help you make a choice about the best way to fight your hangover ( you could also just pace yourself, and hydrate more so this doesn’t occur but haha - we get it). So the first is charcoal - or rather activated charcoal. Individuals who swear by charcoal as a hangover remedy will take two capsules. So the thing with activated charcoal is that it’s pretty great at soaking up and dispelling poison from the body. Probably the most commonly cited studies of activated charcoals capability into soak up excess booze is a 1981 study called the Effect of Activated Charcoal on Ethanol Blood Levels in Dogs, wherein six laboratory dogs were given alcohol, followed by activated charcoal.

The researchers discovered which the charcoal prevented the full absorption of the alcohol into the dog's bloodstream, and of course that logic extended to humans. It would seem though that activated charcoal won't actually prevent alcohol from being absorbed into the body.

Alcohol, once you drink it, it enters your bloodstream roughly in about an hour and begins into getting processed. What appears into be going on with a hangover in which your body actually generates an inflammatory reaction, comparable to influenza or a cold, so that's why you have the achiness, the headache, the generally horrible feeling.

Just a regular aspirin, then, could help with some of the side effects. - The caffeine from a cup of coffee and actually positive react with aspirin, and support the aspirin work better and wakes you up since chances are good which you didn’t sleep too well the night before - ha!

So there you have it, you can help your hangover with activated charcoal tablets, aspirin, and caffeine - and heck - maybe even the right CBD would help with the inflammation!

Moderation, friends. That’s our advice. Until next time!
